Energy saving initiative successfully completed

We are pleased to announce the completion of an energy saving implementation programme which has resulted in a massive reduction of more than 20% in our energy consumption.
This initiative began in early 2009 and became increasingly significant in our effort to maintain our competitive edge as the cost of gas and electricity escalated.
We have made numerous changes in our housekeeping and production processes and to our production line equipment including automating control of the profile heating and drying processes, and the addition of timed power controllers for all lights, pumps and energy consuming devices.
New boiler and factory heaters have been installed to provide the most efficient and reliable heating source and the building has been equipped with thermostatic and timing controls. Down draught fans have been fitted to our factory ceiling in order to reduce the loss of heat through the roof, which was significant in our high ceiling factory.
Commenting on the success of this initiative, Managing Director, Adam Klemis said ‘I am delighted that we have reduced our environmental impact and at the same time delivered cost savings which help us maintain our competitive edge.
