Our Process
QUALITY, CONSISTENCY & COMMUNICATION
At Foilit, every profile that passes through our foiling lines goes through a carefully managed process designed for consistency, quality and peace of mind. From first enquiry to project fulfilment, we keep you informed and in control.
Production
Once everything is agreed, we move into production. Every profile is carefully prepared, primed with the exact dosage to key into the surface, then foiled using controlled heat and glue application. The foil is bonded securely to the profile, ID printed for full traceability, and joint-cut for a flawless finish.
Our team checks quality at every stage of the line, using independent cross-hatch testing, adhesion checks and surface inspections. It’s a meticulous process, but one that guarantees results.
Development
Every project starts with development. Whether you’re working on a new product or looking for a reliable partner for ongoing production, our experts will help you refine the details. We can work with drawings or samples to prepare accurate quotes, and then set up the codes and master data needed to get your order moving quickly.

Pre-production
Before foiling can begin, every job goes through a detailed pre-production stage.
We start by selecting and preparing the correct materials, from primers and glues to the precise grade and colour of foil, to match the exact requirements determined in the development stage.
Once confirmed, full logs of lamination foil are slit down to the exact widths needed for each profile. This doesn't just minimise waste, it gives the best fit and tolerances so production can run smoothly and efficiently from the very first length.
Production

Finishing
When production is complete, we move straight into finishing. Profiles are cured in our temperature-controlled environment for a minimum of 48 hours, and always double the manufacturers recommended minimum. This extra step means your products leave us stronger, more stable and ready for use.
They're then wrapped, labelled and packed exactly as you need them, whether that be loose, in tubes or UV-protected bags. Then, if required, they're loaded onto stillages ready for collection.
Attention to detail at this stage prevents problems later. It’s part of the reason customers stay with us for years.
